Logging in to Payload

Find your admin URL, sign in, and what to do if you can't get access.

Finding your admin URL

Payload lives on a separate web address from your customer-facing storefront. The pattern is:

https://payload.your-storefront-domain.com/admin

For example, if your shop is at https://shop.example.com, Payload would typically be at https://payload.shop.example.com/admin. Your Flowtech account manager will have given you the exact URL when your account was set up.

Bookmark the admin URL. You'll be using it often, and it's not linked from your public website.

Signing in for the first time

  1. Open the admin URL in your browser.
  2. Enter the email address your account was created with.
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Click Log in.

The first time you log in, Payload may prompt you to change your password. Pick something strong — Payload has access to change anything on your website, so treat it like you would your banking password.

Forgotten password

  1. On the login page, click Forgot your password?
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. You'll receive an email with a reset link within a minute or two. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder.
  4. The link takes you to a page where you can set a new password.

If you never receive the email, your email address may not be on your account. Ask your internal administrator to check, or contact your Flowtech account manager.

Something's wrong

  • "Invalid credentials" — your email or password is wrong. Double-check for typos. If you're sure, use the forgotten-password flow.
  • "User not found" — no account exists for that email. Ask an administrator to create one.
  • Page won't load — try a different browser or an incognito window. If it still won't load, contact your Flowtech account manager.
